- With me today is Anna Lopez, who organises the Riverside Film Festival. Anna, this is the festival's fifth year. How did it start?
- Anna
- Well, people often think we started it to support young filmmakers, and we do that now. But actually, the main reason was that our town had lost its only cinema, and we wanted to give people a place to watch films together again.

- Where are the films shown?
- Anna
- In the first year, we used the old school hall. Then we moved to the library. This year, for the first time, most films will be screened outdoors in the park, on a giant screen.

- What kind of films are you showing?

- There's a mix: comedies, animated films for children and documentaries. Comedies used to sell best, but last year the documentaries were the most popular – I think because several were about our local area. That really surprised us.

- Children's films are free. Other films cost five pounds, or you can buy a festival pass for twenty. Some evening shows sold out last year, so if you want to see a particular film, I'd book online soon.

- If it rains, we'll move the screenings into the sports centre next to the park. So nothing will be cancelled. And if anyone wants to help, we still need volunteers, mainly to sell drinks and snacks.
