The bar chart compares the average amount of rain that fell in City A and City B in six different months of the year.
Overall, City A had a clear dry season and a very wet season, whereas rainfall in City B was much more even throughout the year. City A also recorded the highest monthly figure of the two cities.
In City A, there was very little rain at the beginning of the year, with only 20mm in January and 30mm in March. The figure then rose sharply to 150mm in May and reached a peak of 280mm in July. It remained high in September, at 250mm, before falling to 60mm in November.
By contrast, City B received between 60mm and 100mm of rain in every month shown. Its wettest month was November, with 100mm, and its driest was July, with 60mm, which was the opposite pattern to City A.

Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to inform you about a problem with rubbish on Nguyen Trai Street, where I have lived for six years.
There are only two public bins on the whole street, and they are usually overflowing by the afternoon. As a result, people leave bags of rubbish on the pavement next to the bins. In the evenings, cats and rats tear the bags open, and litter spreads across the road.
This is affecting local residents in several ways. The smell is very unpleasant, especially in hot weather, and parents are worried about their children playing near the rubbish. Some shop owners have also told me that customers avoid that part of the street.
I would like to suggest that the council add at least two more large bins and empty them every day rather than three times a week. It would also be helpful to put up signs reminding people of the correct collection times.
