- Good afternoon, everyone. I'd like to tell you about the new training programme that starts next month. It's called Grow, and it's open to all staff who have worked here for at least six months.

- Originally, we planned to run all the sessions in the office. However, after looking at your feedback, we've decided that most of them will be online, so that people working in our other branches can join. Only the first and the last sessions will be face to face.

- Each participant will choose one of three areas: leadership, customer communication or data skills. Data skills was the most requested area in the survey, so we'll run two groups for that one.

- The programme lasts twelve weeks, with a ninety-minute session every Wednesday afternoon. Participants will also be given a mentor – an experienced colleague from a different department, not their own manager.

A For most of the twentieth century, education was seen as something that happened at the beginning of life. People went to school, perhaps to university, and then spent the next forty years using what they had learnt. Today, that model is changing. Rapid developments in technology mean that many of the skills people learn at twenty may be out of date by the time they are forty.
B As a result, more adults are returning to education. Some take short online courses in the evenings; others study part-time for a new qualification. Kim, a 46-year-old accountant, recently completed a course in data analysis. “My job was changing, and I didn’t want to be left behind,” she explains. “It was hard to study after a full day at work, but now I’m doing more interesting tasks than before.”
C However, adult learners face particular challenges. Many have family responsibilities and limited free time, and some lack confidence because they have not studied for many years. Cost can also be a barrier, especially for people in lower-paid jobs, who may benefit most from new skills but are least able to pay for them.
D Some employers have responded by offering training during working hours, and a few governments provide funding for adults who want to retrain. Supporters argue that this is a sensible investment, because a well-trained workforce is more productive. Critics, on the other hand, worry that such programmes are often used mainly by people who already have good jobs and high levels of education.

- Đúng 6–9/12 → chặng này phù hợp với bạn.
- Đúng 10–12/12 và nói được gần 2 phút → bạn vẫn nên học chặng này, nhưng có thể đi nhanh hơn ở những phần đã vững.
