Part 3: giảng viên góp ý
- Mỗi phần bài làm thường được đánh giá theo 3 kiểu: khen (This works well), chê (This is a bit weak), đề xuất (You might want to…).
- Lời chê của giảng viên thường nhẹ nhàng: I’m not sure this is necessary, This could be clearer = cần sửa.
- Cẩn thận: sinh viên nói một ý, giảng viên sửa lại → đáp án theo giảng viên.
Tình huống: giảng viên góp ý bản nháp khảo sát về bài tập về nhà (giả định)

- Come in, Linh. I've read your draft on homework and secondary school students. Overall, it's a good start.
- Linh
- Thank you. I was worried about the introduction.
- Dr Hayes
- Actually, the introduction works well. It explains clearly why the topic matters. The literature review, though, is rather short. You've only used three sources, and two of them are quite old.
- Linh
- I see. I'll look for some more recent research.
- Dr Hayes
- Good. Now, your questionnaire. Forty respondents is a reasonable sample for an assignment of this size, so that's fine. But some of the questions are confusing. For example, question six asks about two things at once.
- Linh
- Oh yes – time spent on homework and whether it's useful.
- Dr Hayes
- Exactly. Split it into two questions. As for the findings section, I like the charts, but you describe every number in the text as well. You don't need to repeat them – just comment on the main patterns.
- Linh
- And the conclusion? I thought I should add some recommendations for teachers.
- Dr Hayes
- I'm not sure that's necessary. Your data only comes from one school, so recommendations might be going too far. Instead, mention the limitations of your study.
- Linh
- OK. The deadline is next Friday – is there any chance of an extension?
- Dr Hayes
- I'm afraid extensions are only given for medical reasons. But if you send me the revised questionnaire by Monday, I'll check it quickly.

- Nghe lại, mở lời thoại; gạch các câu khen – chê – đề xuất của Dr Hayes bằng 3 màu (10 phút).
- Tìm 6 danh từ không đếm được trong bài nghe, viết một câu với mỗi từ (10 phút).
- Chép chính tả đoạn về findings section (5 phút).
