🗣️ 2. Đầu vào – 20 phút
Q: When do you usually feel tired? Usually mid-afternoon, around three. I’m fine in the morning, but after lunch I tend to hit a wall, especially if I’ve been in meetings all day. It’s not so much physical tiredness as mental – my brain just slows down.
Q: What do you do when you feel tired at work? I try not to reach for another coffee, because it ends up affecting my sleep, which in turn makes me more tired the next day. If I can, I go for a short walk round the block – even five minutes outside helps me recharge.

Bài mẫu do khóa học viết; câu chuyện là giả định.
The habit I’d like to talk about is going to bed at a regular time – ideally before eleven. It sounds easy, but I find it surprisingly hard to stick to.
I started trying about a year ago, after a period when I was regularly staying up until one or two in the morning. I’d wake up exhausted, drink far too much coffee and feel worn out by the afternoon. A colleague mentioned that she’d started going to bed at the same time every night, and she seemed so much more energetic that I decided to give it a try.
The difficulty mainly stems from two things. The first is my phone. I tell myself I’ll check one message, and forty minutes later I’m still scrolling. The second is that the evening is the only time I have to myself, so going to bed early feels like giving up my free time. That results in what I call “revenge scrolling” – staying up late just to feel I’ve had some time of my own.
To keep the habit, I’ve made a couple of changes. I now charge my phone in the kitchen rather than next to my bed, which removes the temptation. I also try to do something I enjoy earlier in the evening, like reading, so I don’t feel I’ve lost my free time. I still fall back into old patterns sometimes, especially at weekends, but I usually get back on track within a day or two, and I definitely feel less drowsy at work.
