The bar chart compares the number of workers from Country V employed in four regions abroad in 2015 and 2025, and shows projected figures for 2035.

Overall, East Asia was the most common destination throughout the period and is expected to remain so. While the number working in the Middle East declined, the figures for Europe and Oceania rose, and Oceania is forecast to see the most dramatic growth.

In 2015, 150,000 workers were employed in East Asia, and this figure rose to 210,000 in 2025. It is projected to increase further, though more slowly, to 230,000 by 2035. By contrast, the Middle East, which was the second most popular region in 2015 with 90,000 workers, saw a fall to 70,000 in 2025, and this number is expected to drop to 50,000.

Europe and Oceania both started from much lower levels, at 30,000 and 20,000 respectively. Over the next decade, the figure for Europe rose by half to 45,000, while that for Oceania doubled to 40,000. By 2035, however, Oceania is predicted to more than double again to 85,000, overtaking both Europe (60,000) and the Middle East to become the second largest destination.

Dear Mr Harrison,

I am writing to report two problems at 27 Carlton Road, the flat I have been renting from you since February.

Firstly, the hot water system has not been working properly for about ten days. The water is only lukewarm in the morning and completely cold by the evening. I reported this to the letting agent on 3 March, but I have not yet received a reply. Secondly, the window in the bedroom does not close fully, and when it rains, water comes in and has started to damage the wall below it.

These problems are making daily life quite difficult. I have had to shower at my gym before work, and the bedroom has become cold and damp, which I am worried may lead to mould if it is not fixed soon.

I would be grateful if you could arrange for a plumber to inspect the hot water system and for the window to be repaired as soon as possible, ideally within the next week. I am available to give access on weekday evenings or at any time on Saturdays.
