- Thanks for sending the draft. Overall, there's a lot to like here. The topic is well chosen, and the interviews with managers are genuinely interesting – that's original material most groups don't have.

- Thank you. We weren't sure whether the interviews were too informal.

- Not at all. If anything, I'd be inclined to use more of them. At the moment they're mostly in the appendix, and I wonder if they might work better in the main discussion, where they'd support your argument directly.
- Marco
- That makes sense. We put them at the back because we were worried about the word limit.
- Tutor
- Which brings me to the introduction. It's very thorough, but perhaps slightly longer than it needs to be – it's nearly a fifth of the report. You may want to cut the history of the company to a few sentences.
- Linh
- OK, we can do that.
- Tutor
- Now, the survey data. It might be worth looking again at the chart on page six. The percentages add up to more than a hundred, so I suspect some responses have been counted twice. That's something you'll need to fix before submission, because it affects your main conclusion.
- Marco
- Oh – I think that was my mistake. We allowed people to choose more than one reason, but I treated it as a single-choice question.
- Tutor
- That would explain it. If people could choose several answers, you just need to say so clearly and present the data differently.
- Linh
- And the recommendations? We weren't sure if three was enough.
- Tutor
- Three is fine. In fact, I'd rather see three well-supported recommendations than six vague ones. The second one, about flexible hours, is the strongest because it links directly to your interview evidence. The third, about salary reviews, could be developed a little more.
- Marco
- So, to summarise: move the interviews into the discussion, shorten the introduction, fix the chart and develop the third recommendation?
- Tutor
- Exactly. And the chart is the priority – the others will improve the report, but that one affects its accuracy.
