Part 1 – câu trả lời mẫu (trả lời + lý do/ví dụ)
Q: Do you live in a house or a flat? A: I live in a flat on the eighth floor of an apartment building. It’s not very spacious, but it’s cosy, and the best thing about it is that it’s only ten minutes from my office.
Q: What can you see from your window? A: From my bedroom window, I can see a small park and, further away, a lot of tall buildings. In the evening, the city lights look really beautiful.
Q: Are you a tidy person? A: Not really, to be honest. My desk is usually quite messy during the week, but I always tidy it up on Sunday evening, because I like starting the week with a clean space.
Q: Are you good at fixing things? A: I’m not bad. I can fix simple things, for example a loose door handle or a dripping tap. But for anything electrical, I always call a repair person – it’s safer.

Describe something in your home that was broken and then repaired.
You should say:
- what it was
- how it was broken
- who repaired it and how
- and explain how you felt after it was repaired.
- Dùng quá khứ đơn: it stopped working, I called, he replaced…
- Thêm một chi tiết hài hước hoặc bất tiện (cả nhà phải ngủ không có điều hòa…) để câu chuyện sống động.

I’d like to talk about our washing machine, which broke down last summer.
One evening, in the middle of a wash, it suddenly stopped and started making a terrible noise. When I opened the door, all the clothes were still full of water. With two small children at home, we use the washing machine almost every day, so it was a real problem.
The next morning I called a repair service, and a man came to our flat the same afternoon. He took off the back of the machine and found that a small coin had got stuck in the pump. He removed it, replaced a broken part and tested the machine – the whole job took about forty minutes, and it wasn’t too expensive.
After that, I felt really relieved, because I had been worried that we would need to buy a new machine. It also taught me a lesson: now I always check my pockets before I put my clothes in the wash.

- Nói 3–4 câu: ý kiến, lý do, ví dụ, (mặt khác).
- Dùng: These days…, In the past…, One reason is that…

Nghe câu hỏi → nghĩ 10–15 giây → ghi âm câu trả lời 2–3 câu (khoảng 20–30 giây) → nghe lại và tự chấm bằng ô kiểm tra bên dưới.
- Trả lời + lý do/ví dụ, 2–3 câu.
- Câu “favourite room”: dùng There is / There are + giới từ chỉ vị trí.
