The pie charts compare the main ways in which adults in Town Z spent their weekend free time in three different years: 2005, 2015 and 2025.
Overall, watching TV became much less popular over the twenty-year period, while online activities grew significantly and replaced TV as the most common way to spend free time. The other categories changed only slightly.
In 2005, watching TV was by far the most popular activity, accounting for 40% of people's free time. Ten years later, this figure had fallen to 30%, and by 2025 it had halved to 20%. Online activities followed the opposite trend, tripling from just 10% in 2005 to 30% in 2025, which made them the largest category in the final year.
The proportion of time spent on sport and exercise stayed at 15% in 2005 and 2015, before rising slightly to 20%. Socialising, by contrast, remained at 25% for the first ten years but then dropped to 20%. Other activities made up 10% in all three years.

I am writing to ask about joining Riverside Badminton Club, which I saw advertised on the noticeboard at the community centre.
