- Good morning, everyone, and welcome to Delta Packaging. My name is Grace, and I'm the health and safety officer. Before you start work, I need to explain a few important things.

- First, the fire alarm. It's tested every Monday at ten a.m., so if you hear it then, you don't need to leave. At any other time, stop work immediately and leave by the nearest fire exit.

- The assembly point is in the car park, next to the main gate – not at the front door, as many new staff think. A supervisor will check everyone's name there.

- Now, protective equipment. Safety shoes are required in all production areas, and they're provided free by the company. Ear protection must be worn near the cutting machines. Gloves are only needed when you're handling chemicals.

- If you have an accident, however small, it must be reported to your supervisor on the same day. All accidents are recorded in the accident book, which is kept in the first aid room on the ground floor.
