Q: Do you prefer shopping online or in shops? A: For everyday things, online – it saves time and I can compare prices easily. But for clothes and shoes, I’d rather go to a shop, because I need to try them on. Last year I ordered a pair of shoes online, and if I’d tried them on first, I wouldn’t have bought them – they were far too small!

I’d like to talk about a laptop that I bought about two years ago. For me, it was quite a big purchase – it cost roughly a month’s salary.
I bought it from an official store in a shopping centre near my office, during a sale at the end of the year. I’d been saving up for about four months, and I’d read lots of online reviews and compared several models before I made my decision.
The main reason I bought it was work. My old laptop was about seven years old and painfully slow – it sometimes took five minutes just to open a large spreadsheet, and the battery only lasted about an hour. I was also starting an online course in the evenings, so I needed something reliable.
Looking back, I think it was definitely worth the money. I use it every single day, both for work and for studying, and it’s still as fast as when I bought it. If I’d bought a cheaper model, I probably would have had to replace it by now. The only thing I regret is not buying a protective case at the same time – I dropped it once in the first week and was very lucky that it wasn’t damaged!
