After graduating, young people face an important choice between starting their own company and joining an established one. In my view, working for a large company is the better option for most graduates, although starting a business can be the right decision for those who already have a clear idea and some experience.
The main advantage of joining a large company is the opportunity to learn in a structured way. Big organisations usually offer training programmes and experienced managers who can act as mentors, so graduates gain practical skills, from negotiating with clients to managing budgets, without having to learn everything through costly mistakes. In addition, a regular salary provides financial security at a time when many young people have student loans or are trying to rent their first home. A graduate who spends three years in the sales department of a large firm, for instance, is likely to leave with not only savings but also a network of contacts and a realistic understanding of how a business works.
Much as entrepreneurship offers independence and the chance to build something of one's own, these benefits tend to be realised only by people who are well prepared. Running a company requires skills that university rarely teaches, and without them, even a promising idea may fail. That said, there are exceptions. A graduate who has already tested a product with real customers, perhaps through a project at university, may lose an opportunity by waiting too long.
In conclusion, while starting a business can suit a small number of well-prepared graduates, I believe that most young people would benefit more from gaining experience in a large company first. Many of the skills they acquire there would, in fact, make them better entrepreneurs later.

Subject: Proposal – shared meeting notes trial
Hi Ms Huong,
Following my pitch this morning, here's a quick summary. The idea is to keep all meeting notes in one shared folder with a simple template, so action points aren't lost. The cost is minimal – about an hour to set up. I'd suggest a one-month trial with our team, after which I'll report back on whether it saved time.
Best, Duc Anh
