The line graph compares the proportion of employees in four sectors of Country N's economy who moved to a new employer each year over a twenty-year period.
Overall, staff turnover was consistently far higher in retail and technology than in healthcare and the public sector, with the two leading sectors briefly swapping places in the middle of the period. The most notable long-term change, however, was the steady rise in healthcare, where the rate doubled.
In 2006, a quarter of retail employees changed jobs, compared with 18% in technology. While the retail figure fluctuated within a narrow range before easing to 22% by 2026, technology turnover climbed sharply, overtaking retail in 2016 when it peaked at 26%. It then fell back just as quickly, ending the period at 19%, slightly below its retail counterpart.
Healthcare and the public sector followed very different paths. Healthcare turnover rose from 8% to 16%, with most of the increase occurring after 2016, whereas the public sector remained the most stable, with fewer than one in fourteen employees changing jobs in any year shown.
🔬 Phân tích bài mẫu – vì sao vượt mức “đủ ý”
- Tổng quan kể câu chuyện: không chỉ “cao/thấp” mà nêu sự đan chéo và thay đổi dài hạn đáng chú ý nhất (y tế gấp đôi) – người đọc nắm biểu đồ chỉ qua đoạn 2.
- Chọn lọc: khu vực công chỉ một mệnh đề (remained the most stable) với một con số tổng hợp (fewer than one in fourteen – 7% ≈ 1/14), không liệt kê 5 năm.
- So sánh mang thông tin: overtaking retail in 2016 when it peaked, slightly below its retail counterpart, with most of the increase occurring after 2016 – mỗi cụm trả lời câu hỏi “so với cái gì / khi nào”.
- Từ vựng chính xác, không phô trương: turnover, fluctuated within a narrow range, easing to, followed very different paths.
- Không giải thích lý do (bài không đoán vì sao ngành công nghệ giảm) – đúng yêu cầu Task 1.
⚠️ Lỗi hay gặp ở band 6.5: tổng quan chỉ là câu “Technology and retail were higher” (đúng nhưng mỏng); mô tả 4 đường theo thứ tự năm (lặp cấu trúc); dùng dramatically cho thay đổi 1–2 điểm %; viết the percentage of technology (thiếu danh từ: the percentage of technology employees).

Dear Ms Collins,
Thank you for letting me know the outcome of my interview for the position of Quality Coordinator, which took place on 19 October. While I was naturally disappointed not to be selected, I genuinely appreciated the opportunity to meet the team and learn more about your work.
I would be grateful for any feedback you are able to share on my performance. In particular, I would like to know whether there were specific skills or areas of experience in which other candidates were stronger, and how I might have presented my previous project work more effectively. I am currently planning my professional development for the coming year, so your comments would be extremely valuable.
Despite the result, my interest in your organisation has, if anything, grown. Your emphasis on continuous improvement and the way your team described its approach to supplier relationships closely match the direction in which I hope to develop my career.
I would therefore welcome the chance to be considered for any suitable positions that may arise in the future. Thank you once again for your time.
Yours sincerely, Nguyen Thanh Tam
