🗣️ 2. Đầu vào – 20 phút
Q: When do you usually feel bored? Mostly when I’m stuck waiting for something I can’t control – queues, delayed flights, that kind of thing. Having said that, I’ve started to think a bit of boredom isn’t always bad. Left without my phone for an hour once, I ended up sketching out a plan I’d been putting off for weeks.
Q: Do you often use public transport? For getting around the city, not as much as I’d like. The buses running near my place are fairly frequent, but they get packed at rush hour, so I tend to ride a motorbike. For longer trips, though, I much prefer the train – being able to work or just look out of the window makes the journey feel shorter.

- Kết bằng cảm nghĩ hoặc điều thay đổi sau đó.
👀 Bài nói mẫu Part 2 (đọc sau khi đã tự nói)
Bài mẫu do khóa học viết; câu chuyện là giả định.
The journey I’d like to describe was a trip to a friend’s wedding in a mountain town in the north, about three years ago. It’s the kind of trip that sounds simple on paper – an overnight train and then a short bus ride – but almost nothing went according to plan.
The first problem came before we’d even left. Arriving at the station with what I thought was plenty of time, I discovered that I’d booked the train for the following night. Luckily, there were still a few seats, so I paid for a new ticket and tried not to think about the money.
The train itself was fine, but about two hours from our destination it stopped in the middle of nowhere. After forty minutes, we were told that a landslide had blocked the line ahead after heavy rain. Having no phone signal, we had no idea how long we’d be stuck there.
The turning point came from a complete stranger. An older man sitting opposite me, realising that I was going to miss the wedding, called his nephew as soon as we reached a station with signal. The nephew drove an hour to pick up three of us and took us the rest of the way on a winding mountain road.
I arrived about thirty minutes before the ceremony, still in the clothes I’d slept in, and had to change in the restaurant toilets. At the time I was exhausted and a bit embarrassed, but looking back, it’s one of my favourite travel stories – mainly because of how generous people were when things went wrong.
🔬 Phân tích bài mẫu
- Trình tự 3 sự cố leo thang: đặt nhầm vé → tàu dừng vì sạt lở → không có sóng.
- Cụm phân từ nén thông tin: Arriving at the station…, I discovered…, Having no phone signal, …, realising that I was going to miss…
- Bước ngoặt rõ: The turning point came from a complete stranger.
- Chi tiết sống động: still in the clothes I’d slept in.
- Kết có chiều sâu: điều đáng nhớ là lòng tốt của người lạ, không chỉ sự cố.
⚠️ Lỗi hay gặp ở band 6.5: kể lộn xộn thời gian; thiếu quá khứ hoàn thành (I discovered that I booked); không có bước ngoặt hay cảm nghĩ.
